How to use this function

Prepare a sales plan with Vera

Learn to turn actual sales and commercial assumptions into a future scenario, checking what changed and why.

The explanation and a short practice take about 5–8 minutes. Processing and your questions can extend the session.

Start this course

Codex

  1. Open Codex on your computer with Vera installed and select @Vera in a chat.
  2. Copy the request below, paste it into the chat and send it.
  3. Turn on Codex voice in this chat. The assistant will guide you to open the second working chat in another window: listen and ask questions here, and watch the work and results there.

The fictional lesson files are already included in the plugin. You can also take the lesson in writing. This button copies the request; the lesson starts when you send it in Codex.

Start in Claude Cowork

Open Cowork with Vera installed and a connected folder for the lesson. Copy and send this request: the lesson takes place in writing in one conversation.

Ciclo Arco wants to plan January and February sales next year. We have actuals for the same months and an assumption of higher unit sales.

One sales plan for two products and two months. The workflow applies reviewed assumptions; it does not prove demand growth or complete a business plan.

Open actual-sales.csv and assumptions-en.md. Identify months, products, units, sales, discounts and costs. The note specifies the same months next year and unit growth, not higher prices.

Vera, plan January and February 2027 for Ciclo Arco from these actuals, with units up 10%. First summarize the assumptions for confirmation, then show the plan and comparison with the base.
  1. In the working chat, Vera inspects data and presents a short assumption table. Voice explains which months and products change and helps you confirm the request’s meaning.
  2. With the assumptions actually confirmed, Vera runs the current plan and checks. Voice follows result generation without confusing a scenario with evidenced future demand.
  3. Open the generated summary and scenario detail. Compare base and plan, then trace a product through units, sales, discounts and costs and find its applied assumption.
  1. Sales scenario CSV and summary for reviewing planned amounts.
  2. Applied-assumption ledger and controls for understanding and repeating the calculation.

Check assumption meaning, comparable months and unchanged factors. Read amount and percentage changes in the context of base values. The plan and assumptions need normal professional review.

  1. Before calculation, explain whether the change concerns units or prices.
  2. In the result, find a row and the assumption determining its value.

These pauses help you learn how to use the function. They are not a technical detail quiz.

Use the practice inputs to request a new scenario with units up 5%, preserving the 10% scenario. Confirm the new assumption and compare summaries; explain why results differ.

You can supply actuals, specify and confirm assumptions, read the plan and checks and compare an alternative.

Tell Vera the actuals, target months, currency and commercial assumptions. Review the interpretation before calculation and use the result as a scenario conditional on those assumptions.
