How to use this function
Create an assortment report with Clara
Learn to supply an existing retail evidence package, request an analysis and use the checked HTML report.
The explanation and a short practice take about 5–8 minutes. Processing and your questions can extend the session.
Start this course
Codex
- Open Codex on your computer with Clara installed and select @Clara in a chat.
- Copy the request below, paste it into the chat and send it.
- Turn on Codex voice in this chat. The assistant will guide you to open the second working chat in another window: listen and ask questions here, and watch the work and results there.
The fictional lesson files are already included in the plugin. You can also take the lesson in writing. This button copies the request; the lesson starts when you send it in Codex.
Start in Claude Cowork
Open Cowork with Clara installed and a connected folder for the lesson. Copy and send this request: the lesson takes place in writing in one conversation.
When to use it
A product team wants to understand an assortment before its next review. Start with a fictional knitwear package, follow Clara’s report preparation and check the conclusions against the underlying products. Then repeat with an updated package.
A complete first report from an existing local evidence package. The example teaches intake, comparison, interpretation, independent review and delivery. Collection from retailer websites, central attribute mapping and Brand Fit are separate work; none is simulated here.
Files and request
Open brief-en.md and supply assortment-demo-en.zip. The archive contains fictional product records, explicitly assigned new-arrival and best-seller groups, computed comparisons and an integrity check. It contains no finished report, approved interpretation or server receipt.
Clara, create an assortment report from this package for our product team. Explain what the data covers, compare best sellers and new arrivals with the rest, and show me the report and its checks.
Run the workflow
- Confirm the retailer/category scope, the supplied snapshot and the audience. Clara safely opens the package and checks its integrity. The voice chat explains the source records and what the retailer-defined groups mean.
- Clara prepares the normal comparison tables and writes the report from their evidence. Follow one comparison from products to table to conclusion; distinguish a visible assortment pattern from sales quantities or a causal explanation.
- An independent review checks the claims and readability, and browser checks inspect the HTML. Open the actual report, its verdict and any caveats. Find the summary, supporting tables, product evidence and the next question for the team.
Use the result
- A local HTML report with comparisons, interpretation, source links and an explicit correctness verdict.
- Supporting evidence tables and review records that explain the verdict and remaining limits.
Check the supplied snapshot, group definitions and support for a conclusion. New arrivals are the source’s designated group; best-seller placement does not provide sales quantities. Read the verdict’s reasons before using the report.
Pause and check
- Identify the package and request needed to start, and explain the output Clara will produce.
- Open the report and follow one conclusion to its evidence and review status.
These pauses help you learn how to use the function. They are not a technical detail quiz.
Try it yourself
Supply assortment-practice-en.zip, which changes the fictional new-arrival group. Ask for a new report with the same audience. Keep the first report and compare what changed in the evidence and interpretation.
You can start a report, read its summary and evidence, understand the verdict and repeat the workflow with another package.
Supply an integrity-checked evidence package and state the audience and question. Clara prepares, reviews and delivers the HTML locally. A request for current central data follows the separate authenticated intake and its stated data boundary.
